I bought this pack a couple years ago so this is a long-ish term review: great pack! Not sure if any others at this price point are as good since I haven’t tested any, but I have taken this pack on several 20+ mile two to three night trips, a 40+ mile week long trip, overloaded it on some of my early trips (unfortunately I can speak from experience that it can handle 55lbs or so – I’ve since lowered my pack weight to average around 35 with food and water. The pack holds a lot! Including a BV500 bear can horizontally inside (at the very top). The only thing that has busted on it is a buckle on probably the least important strap (the one that goes over the top internal pocket – which already cinches closed with a drawstring so it’s redundant – and it only broke halfway so it still actually works! The side pockets store fairly large bottles (a 1.5 Liter Smart Water bottle, for example.). Strange as it sounds, I actually want this pack to break on me (just not mid trip) so that I can legitimize the purchase of a new and lighter pack (this is a cheap pack so it weighs more than the fancy ones at just under 5lbs.), but it keeps hanging on! I will probably upgrade and hand it off to one of my kids. The numerous pockets and straps allow tons of storage options: I’ve strapped snow shoes on the outside, with an ice axe and a ton of cold weather gear inside and a jacket on top. The hip belt and shoulder straps are well padded and comfortable at reasonable weights for long distances. The hip belt pockets might be a little small for some but one will fit a baseplate compass and stick on sunscreen decently for example. If you can’t fit all your stuff in this pack, you are taking too much!

This pack is really nice. I was thinking for the price “you get what you pay for” & I absolutely think this pack is amazing for the price. Basically, I thought it wouldn’t be as great as it actually is, atleast in my opinion. I did 5 days in the backcountry of Glacier National Park with this pack and it did the job and then some. Seems to be made from quality material and well made. I am very pleased with my purchase and will continue to do more backpacking with this pack!

Very nice . I haven’t got to put it to the test yet as far as how well it’s built but from what I can tell it seems good lots of space lots of handy adjustments very light comes with a built-in rain cover very satisfied so far

Just got back from a 22 mile overnight hike in the smokies and I am very satisfied! My boyfriend has a $300 osprey pack and this little gem was just as if not better for long hikes than the higher end packs. I had about 40lbs packed in and most of the trail was uphill and could barely tell I had that much weight on my back. If you want a very functionally and comfortable pack and not looking to spend over $100…..invest in the mountain top!!!

I bought two of these for my dad and I. We tested them out on a one day overnight excursion and didn’t have a problem. We even got a chance to break out the rain covers which covered and protected the bags well. I also have used mine as a carry on at the airport. It is definitely bigger than carry on size but I only had it half full and no one ever said anything. The bags seem to be made out of good quality material which I was doubtful of at first but they have held up just fine. The YKK zippers are also very nice. The padding on the back and straps isn’t the softest compared to other packs I’ve tried but it is thick, gets the job done and didn’t leave me sore so I can’t complain much.I’m 5’6, 108 pounds and the bag was just slightly too big around the waist but wasn’t bad. Overall great bag for an unbeatable price. I’ll probably update this review after a few more months of wear.

Great pack for the price. Lots of straps and pockets to keep things organized. I got this for my grandfather to do a 100 mile trip. He can’t wait to try it out.

To be upfront, I was provided this product in return for an objective review. Most people are wary of Chinese budget products, especially if they’re paying more than a few dollars, but with the Mountaintop 70L+10L backpack, you’re getting a quality product at a great value. Quality materials are being used here, such as the YKK brand zippers and buckles, as well as the rip-stop nylon. There are plenty of extra pockets and compartments for easy access. Compression straps have elastic bands to keep them under control, which I really like. The shoulder straps fit well and are adjustable. Both the shoulder straps and hip-belt have breathable, very comfortable foam padding.I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of this backpack, especially considering its a fraction of the price of name-brand competitors.

Excellent bag awesome price. Only thing is I would like a set of female clips to come with bag so when using without the brain the straps can function and both sets of clips should be the same size(excluding the waist clips) this bag is quality great layout big front pocket
